Keystone Symposia-Keystone Policy Center virtual webcast on Health Disparities: Type 2 Diabetes, Research and Policy

KEYSTONE, CO, August 2, 2018 –  Keystone Symposia is hosting a free virtual webcast on Health Disparities: Type 2 Diabetes, Research and Policy on August 7 at 2:30 PM ET co-organized with the Keystone Policy Center.

The 2016 issue of the US annual National Healthcare Disparities Report indicates that racial and ethnic minorities represent a disproportionate share of the Type 2 diabetes epidemic in the United States. Building on the May 2017 Keystone Symposia roundtable conversation on Health Disparities: The Intersection of Science and Race, this session focuses on the intersection of scientific research and public policy in the effort to reduce health disparities, with a particular focus on incidence and prevention of Type 2 diabetes. Panelists will answer audience questions live at the end of the panel discussion; you can submit a question when registering or via the chat room or Twitter during the broadcast (#VKSdisparitiesT2D).
