Healthy Rivers for Wildfire Resilience

by

Keystone is working with Trout Unlimited (TU) to strategically scope and structure the development of a Western, regionwide Community of Practice (CoP) for nature-based solutions promoting wildfire resilience in riverscapes. Healthy rivers, floodplains, and riparian corridors retain moisture, slow fire spread, reduce burn severity, and support faster post-fire recovery while also benefiting trout and salmon habitat, water quality, and nearby communities. The initiative connects practitioners, scientists, and land managers across the West through webinars, case studies, and shared resources.
