Peter is the head of Global Public Policy & Issues Management. In this role, he leads the team responsible for developing Dow’s enterprise public policy strategies and prioritization, engagement in international conventions, and issues management approaches with a focus on enabling business growth and protecting Dow’s license to operate.
Previously, Peter served as global director for Business & Marketing Communications where he had oversight for all of Dow’s global business and marketing communications as well as issues management communications and providing public affairs leadership for cross-geography, business-critical issues. Before that he held several roles across public and government affairs including leading Dow’s Office of the CEO & Executive Communications supporting Dow’s Chair & CEO, senior manager for Northeast State Government Affairs, and public policy manager.
Before Dow, Peter was based in Washington, DC and held roles at numerous NGOs focused on energy, climate, and water policy.
In 2018, Peter was recognized as one of PRWeek’s “40 Under 40”, its annual list of leading communications professionals under the age of 40.
Peter earned his Master’s in Public Policy with a focus on Energy Policy from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. as well as a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
Peter lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan and serves as a Board Officer for the Detroit Economic Club and the External Advisory Board of the University of Michigan’s Graham Sustainability Institute.
