K-12 Education During and After COVID-19

The rapid adjustment school districts, teachers, administrators and parents had to make as a result of COVID-19 was a shock to the education system. Educators are now adjusting to new methods of instruction, administrators needed to play new roles to support students, and parents required to adjust to homeschooling children while navigating a global pandemic heaping complications upon them they never imagined. In the conversation above, Berrick Abramson and Millie Hamner, who lead Keystone’s education program, discuss the impact COVID-19 has had on K-12 education, what school administrators and parents have learned during the last several weeks, and what needs to happen to improve the resiliency of school districts against future potential disruptions.
