Colorado Beaver Conservation and Management Strategy

by

Increasing interest in beavers as an agent for ecological restoration prompted Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) to begin developing formal guidance to inform beaver conservation and management, including such topics as: harvest regulation, restoration, techniques for coexisting with beaver, and translocation. As a partner to Colorado Natural Heritage Program, Keystone is supporting engagement through focus groups and online comment periods; we are also providing project management support for the drafting of the strategy.
