Helen Royal re-joined Keystone in February of 2024. Throughout her career Helen has worked to advocate for the underserved in a variety of non-profit settings.   She held executive leadership roles in community mental health and community health centers where she managed diverse programs involving health equity, policy, and integrated mental health care in primary care settings.  Her scope of work also included collaborating across the state on a variety of healthcare and mental health initiatives. Currently she is focused on the Keystone Policy Center’s Department of Energy project related to consent-based siting of spent nuclear fuel.

She has a BA in Organizational Psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an MA in Agency Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado.
