Yesica is a first-generation student who graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with her B.S. in Psychology minor in Ethnic Studies. While receiving her bachelor’s she coordinated different projects in the environmental justice, sustainability, and equity/inclusion sector. In that time she also became passionate about including youth to the table especially, since the work being done today will impact their future. Also, she worked as an essential employee at a hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic. She worked long hours to support the Latinx communities who struggled with the language barrier.
