Routt Recreation Roundtable Application period open until May 31

Locals and visitors alike are drawn to Routt County, Colorado for its natural surroundings and recreational opportunities.  Recreation helps drive the economy and improve the lifestyle of those who live in and visit this mountain community.  However, with demand for outdoor access and trails ever increasing, there is a need to coordinate thoughtful planning and decision-making regarding the myriad recreational development opportunities that are responding to the increase in demand.

There are many exceptional agencies and programs that manage recreational opportunities in Routt County and work to protect the environment. These entities often undertake planning and policy making processes. These processes often need, and sometimes require, public input. The Routt Recreation Roundtable is developed and designed to be a diverse representative body that is poised to deliver non-binding input and recommendations to these entities.

The Steering Committee of the Routt Recreation Roundtable would like to open the application period for the initial seating of the Roundtable. 21 seats are available, one for each of the 16 user/interest groups listed below as well as 5 ‘at-large’ seats. If you are interested in applying for a seat on the Roundtable, please complete the application form linked below and review the Charter that is also linked below. Please note that by submitting an application you are agreeing to abide by the Charter if seated on the Roundtable.

To apply, please email your completed application form to RRRApplications@keystone.org no later than 5pm MDT on Friday, May 31. Files must be named in the following manner: UserGroupCode_LastName.pdf. The User group codes are listed below for the available seats.

For example, if you are applying for the Ranching and Farming seat and your name is Jane Smith, you would name the file: RF_Smith.pdf

Thanks for your interest and please email Matthew Mulica (mmulica@keystone.org) if you have any questions.
