Todd Bryan has worked in the environmental field for more than 30 years and has spent more than 15 years as a mediator, facilitator and trainer. Todd works with government agencies, tribal governments, non-governmental organizations, industry, and communities, where he develops collaborative approaches to environmental and natural resource decision-making. Todd specializes in ecosystem management, water resources, mining, and sustainability.  He has designed and delivered training workshops in collaborative skills and processes throughout the US and in Portugal, and teaches a graduate-level environmental mediation workshop in the School of Natural Resources & Environment at the University of Michigan.

Todd is the author of the article “Tragedy Averted: the Promise of Collaboration” and is a contributor to the award-winning book Making Sense of Intractable Environmental Conflicts. Todd has a BS in agriculture from the University of Kentucky, MS degrees in water resources management and landscape architecture from the University of Wisconsin, and a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University. Todd also has a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, where he did pioneering research on identity-based environmental conflict.
