Julie is a Senior Associate with Keystone’s Science and Public Policy program, providing facilitation and project management services within Keystone’s environment practice area.   Julie works with diverse public, private and NGO stakeholder groups and has designed and facilitated stakeholder dialogues, public engagement processes, and strategic planning processes on national, regional, and local scales.  Recent project topics include landscape conservation collaboration, forest health, smoke management, mine planning and mine reclamation, sustainable agriculture (including environmental, economic, and social dimensions), community sustainability, sustainable forest product sourcing, anthropogenic sound impacts on marine mammals, worksite wellness, healthcare-associated infections, and H1N1 vaccination planning.  Julie is a facilitator for Field to Market, the Keystone Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture.

Julie holds a Masters in environmental studies, with a focus on natural resource policy and management in the American West, from the University of Colorado at Boulder (2007). She also holds Bachelors degrees in geosciences and English from Williams College (2003).  Prior to joining the Keystone Center in April 2008, Julie conducted water policy research in Boulder, CO and was a natural science educator in Eagle County, CO.
