Johanna is an Associate with Keystone’s Science and Public Policy program where she focuses primarily on health-related projects. She has worked with a diverse group of federal, state, and local agencies, including the Institute of Medicine, Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Pacific Island Health Officers Association (PIHOA), LiveWell Colorado, the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), The New York State Department of Health, and the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO). Beyond agency representatives, she’s worked with private sector, citizens, and health advocates. Her processes have ranged from large and small public involvement processes to consensus-based stakeholder groups. These processes have addressed issues of pandemic flu planning, vaccine safety and obesity prevention. Johanna is a graduate of the University of North Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in political science and is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Public Policy at the University of Colorado at Denver.
