Resume

Amber joined The Keystone Center in February 2008 and works as a Program Coordinator based in Keystone, Colorado.  A native of Trinity County, California, Amber grew up enjoying the outdoors and beauty of the Trinity Alps.  It is because of her love for the mountains that Amber relocated to Summit County, Colorado in 2005.

Amber supports Keystone Center facilitation staff, spending most of her time on health policy issues by providing full-service logistical support, participant and stakeholder management and written records of meetings.  Amber has worked with a diverse group of federal, state, and local agencies, including the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), LiveWell Colorado, the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Ocean Conservancy and the National Marine Fisheries Scientists (NMFS). These processes have addressed issues of pandemic flu planning, vaccine safety, obesity prevention, the take reduction plan for Bottlenose Dolphins and the reduction of marine debris.

Amber completed her undergraduate work at San Francisco State University and Eberhard Karls Universität in Tübingen, Germany.  Amber has a B.A. in Intercultural Communications and German Language and Literature.  Since 1996 Amber has lived in and studied the cultures of Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic and Argentina.
