Keystone Policy Center Honors National Leaders Committed to Collaborative Solutions
24th Annual Awards Features Roundtable Discussion About ‘Reaching Common Higher Ground’ on Policy, Sustainability Challenges

WASHINGTON, June 7, 2017 — The Keystone Policy Center honored national leaders at its 24th Annual Leadership Awards event today for their achievements and commitment to finding collaborative solutions. The awardees participated in a roundtable discussion about how they inspire others to reach “common higher ground — in-line with Keystone’s mission and more than four decades of work.

“Keystone Policy Center has worked for more than four decades to find collaborative, actionable solutions to public policy challenges. Our awardees are each an outstanding example of Keystone’s mission in action — and proof that collaboration can lead to progress when all other efforts have failed,” said Christine Scanlan, President and CEO of the Keystone Policy Center. “Keystone is honored to recognize our awardees — and to host a discussion about how others can learn from their examples.”

The Keystone Policy Center, a Colorado-based nonprofit organization founded in 1975, honored the following individuals as examples of its vision for individuals and companies rising above entrenched positions and reaching common higher ground:

  • U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn.
  • Kees Kruythoff, President, Unilever North America
  • Anne Pramaggiore, President and CEO, ComEd
  • Mark Tercek, President and CEO, The Nature Conservancy
  • Chris Wallace, Anchor, Fox News Sunday

Shelby Coffey III, a member of Keystone’s Board of Trustees and Vice Chairman of The Newseum, moderated an insightful conversation about collaborative leadership, overcoming gridlock and polarization, and reaching common higher ground while solving complex policy challenges.

The Keystone Policy Center established its Leadership Awards program in 1994 to recognize extraordinary leadership by individuals and companies whose work embraces the nonprofit’s model, spirit, and mission.
