Forest Ecology
Standards 1, 3.1, 3.2, 4.2, 5, and 6
This life science theme offered at KSS allows students to learn about animals, plants and the interactions that occur between them and the non-living components of their environment. The curriculum for this theme is designed to meet the strands and assessment frameworks of the CDE Science Standard 3. Groups that combine a mini-research project with this theme often compare the plant and animal communities of two different Colorado Life Zones.
