Summer Programs
Each summer, Keystone Science School welcomes new and returning campers, ages 6 to 17, to our historic campus in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Many will experience this unique and wonderful alpine environment for the first time.
For others, returning to Keystone Science School marks a chance to reunite with old friends and meet new ones, while enjoying the fun and adventure of learning about nature in the mountains. Whether campers are new or returning, Keystone Science School will undoubtedly prove to be an unforgettable experience remembered for a lifetime.
At an elevation of 9,200 feet, our historic campus is nestled in the Snake River Valley and is built on the site of the Old Keystone Village, a former railroad and sawmill site which supported the silver and gold mining towns of Colorado’s history. The Ten Mile, Front and Gore Ranges provide a dynamic setting for learning about the rich natural and cultural history of Summit County.
While housed on Keystone Science School’s 23 acre campus, male and female campers are split into separate modern, log-cabin style dormitories, with campers grouped according to age. Our main event building and focal point for many camp activities.
