CENTER FOR EDUCATION

Keystone Science School (KSS)

Keystone Science School is a residential field science school that challenges students to develop critical thinking skills as they explore nature and science education. Making extensive use of the outdoor laboratory around us, we promote scientific inquiry and cultivate sensitivity to the natural environment.

We know that today's youth are our future leaders - the ones who will develop policies and make decisions that impact our world. With that in mind, we've created interactive science education programs that help students become familiar with scientific and critical thinking skills and encourage them to be engaged citizens.

Keystone Science School’s monthly column in the Summit Daily News raises community awareness about what Keystone Science School does as well as serving as a resource for local students, teachers, and families. Each month we’ll feature a new science-based theme that incorporates suggestions for hands-on activities and ways to make science, adventure and fun come to life.
